October 8, 2024 - After decades of the Southwest Drycleaners Association (SDA) donning the famous cowboy hat, the Board of Directors for the SDA has decided step into a fresh new look. As SDA President Erika Paine explains, “Our organization is now home to twelve states and we want to not only update our look, but also illustrate our expanded region.” The SDA region includes Arizona, Arkansas, Colorado, Kansas, Louisiana, Mississippi, Missouri, Nevada, New Mexico, Oklahoma, Texas and Utah.
The SDA Board of Directors is launching a logo competition where the winner will not only get bragging rights, but also $2,500. Logo Committee Chair and SDA 2nd Vice President John Rothrock says, “Our industry is full of creative talent, and this competition aims to showcase that. We encourage marketing firms, vendor departments, and even individual drycleaners and their employees to participate.”
Competition rules and guidelines can be found at the bottom of this article and submissions are due December 20 and are to be sent to staff@sda-dryclean.com. SDA plans to unveil the new logo at the April 5 board meeting.
